Day One Of The Public Phase Of President Donald Trump’s Impeachment | Deadline | MSNBC

    Michelle says:

I wish he would do the noble thing and just resign already…

    Dave Edwards says:

Toss the talkin points'out, call it what it is.

    Henry Rodriguez says:

The funny thing is that if it was placed on a classified server then he's releasing classified information via the transcript to the public. Did they declassify any of it? Reality is that if his aids knew it was wrong tried to hide it and this treasonous traitor of a so-called president thought it should be hidden or worse yet didn't even know how to classify information that he's giving to people without even asking then he really shouldn't have access to classified information because he is a security risk for leaking any classified information as is shown time and time again. If you have a criminal corrupt treasonous conman constantly undermining a nation's interest yet more regularly serving his own best interests by devaluing our assets and intelligence agencies while taking intermissions to distance ourselves from our allies and holding secret meetings with historical enemies and serving their interests over American interests then he is more of a traitor than an actual president. All of his behaviors tend to align more with Putin's interests than they do America's. Even his endorsing of Fracking is causing our waterways, soils and air to be poisoned with benzenes and a slurry of other poisons reported to cause illnesses in children at schools or living in areas where these wastes are being vented or poured into our waterways or ground water reserves. My guess is that he has invested in these enterprizes and is profiting from this environmental contamination. Viewed from a Russian perspective they would be gleeful that we are poisoning ourselves so the few profiting from this enterprise will gain wealth while those living in the massive areas being poisoned will have health issues well into the future. This does not reflect a president looking at what is best for its people or the nation but what is most profitable for himself over the nation's interests. Impeach this so-called president.

    Toni Olson says:

Hi ho hi ho it's off to work I go.
Who's life do I get to destroy today ?
They won't play nice and I don't like them
So I will spend the day taking all their candy
Leaving them none hi ho hi hum

    Tracey Edwards says:

We have read it and it looks just like it sounds you broke the law.

    Fra Liv says:

1st day of the rest of his presidency… worst opener ever.

    goo breen says:

no one need you mr President to read out the summary of the call you released, its already in the public domain, anyone who had interest had read it already…what the public need you to read out is the transcript of the actual call not the edited version! dont try to distract people from talking about the hidden word for word transcript of the call! thats what congress and the people at large are looking for!

    kathlene stafford says:

Trumps so to include what has been left out of the call summary he’s going to Barry himself deeper in the hole he dug for himself!

Trumpty Dumpty your fall is coming! says:

It's not a transcript. It's notes from the note taker and they 'altered' it to remove key words and phrases about Biden. And if lawyers hid the actual call that showed a crime – are they aiding and abetting a criminal act?? Traitor Trump's lawyers really need to be looked at by the Bar Association, bc they are clearly all just as corrupt as Putin's puppy.

    EarlyLove2014 says:

    (1) The THREAT – Withhold Aid and Meeting.. (2) The OFFER – Aid for Dirt.. That's (1) EXTORTION and (2) BRIBERY..! Opps..!

    Jimmy Jazz says:

Fireside chat with a gaslight standing in for the fire. What's he trying to say? WE'RE the ones who can't read!?!?

    wally crail says:

Trump read the transcript of the call ? Dream on. He can't even read his intel memos. He will only read it in picture form.

    Phantom X says:

Trump has been bribing people his entire life so there is every possibility that he is too stupid to realise that bribery is a serious crime.

    Louis Thomas says:

The democrats are to busy making money off of the mexicans instead of helping the poor and felons and disabled. Nobody wants homeless shelters but they wont make affordable housing

    Virachay Vongsa - Nga says:

Mad King Trump is about to lose his throne with this impeachment.

    wally crail says:

Trump publicly confessing, won't make a scrap of difference to public opinion, as nearly half of the nation will think it's OK for him to shoot someone on 5th Ave.

    Doug Hoskovec says:

I think only Mike Pompeo and donnie tRUMP would have the authority at the time to order the evidence of the Ukrainian bribery and extortion phone call to be hidden in the double super-secret State Department computer server. Is hiding evidence of an impeachable High Crime called Obstruction of Justice? And how about Attorney General Bill Barr who was in on the call and never reported it.

    Louis Thomas says:

The Republicans want America Great Again. But they dont want to tax the rich. Why cant we all pich in a dollar in California i
nstead of trying to tax the Rich. We dont need em

    Patsy Gay says:

I thought he didn't like to read. Okaaaay, will that fire be a burning cross?

    Carline Torweihe says:

Fireside chat ??? Sitting "comfortably" in front of a yule fire "reading" his tiny, little "memo" of less than a minute's length, is more than inconguous.

    Ruth Slone says:

Trump will read the “transcript”, only so he can get screen credit in the movies that will undoubtedly use the audio when portraying him!

    Jon Jacoby says:

I smell mulled wine and Alec Baldwin doing trumps dramatic reading of his confession.

    Wolfie says:

That there's finally have one thing to pin on him that'll stick as it's so clear cut is a blessing. Thanks in part to his own folly. Of course, the fact that he's already gotten away with so much more already to date should also serve as a wake up call to the legislature insofar as ensuring the implementation of future watertight legislation to ensure that this obscenity will never happen ever again.

    Knob Jockey says:

It’s bad enough if another country tries to interfere with your democracy, so why would you let the president invite interference from another country ? It’s treason.

    Carneil Hall says:

Rile up the Klan rallie, like u do, Trump, bcuz when u are there, the truth comes out. RIGHT??

    MrsRobinson0741 says:

    Po Sun Lee says:

The numbers are starting to make sense, common sense.
