    ReviewTechUSA says:

Let’s get things straight. They’ve been (Kotaku, Deadspin) posting politics pieces for YEARS and the higher ups over at G/O Media didn’t give a crap. When they speak up about how intrusive the ads are (which I’ve seen myself) the piece discussing the intrusive ads gets deleted and a journalist gets fired. It isn’t about politics, it’s about money. Use common sense.

    Deforma Cinnabar says:

Kotaku is trash. Sad that you’re supporting them

    downphoenix says:

I can imagine the cpm for static ads on websites is much lower than video ads so I sorta get why they gotta put them front and center. Definitely annoying though.

    MolleVand says:

Thanks, now i know theres a whole slew of media outlets to avoid besides Kotaku!

    hicobra says:

if it wasn't for intrusive ads we won't need ad blockers. The Ad companies started this war. The are code of conduct for ethical was
of doing ads and G/O Media are NOT signed up to any of them and you need to be asking them why.
But ask them in a way like. say the owners of G/O Media woke up in the morning and found that the front of their homes had flyers on them
and the cars had flyers glued to them do you consider this an ethical or Unethical way of advertising.
you need to ask them in a way were they can not be obtuse.

BTW Rich are you running vanilla firefox as you need the Mute Tab or Mute sites add-on for it.

    The SNES Man says:

People are trying to force politics into everything now. Movies, television, articles. Can't we just go one minutes without being reminded of them. They ruin everything.

    Clint Matthews says:

Publicly calling out your boss is a great way to get fired. This is not a startling revelation. If you have a complaint you be a pro and talk to him in private. You don’t put up a sign outside the business telling people what a jerk he is. He may be a jerk, and he may be wrong, but being right doesn’t give you special rights.
